Spaghetti Carbonara is one of my all-time favorite meals to have. I am not a huge pasta lover, but Trey could eat it 24/7 and be happy :) However, this pasta dish is one I will always be in the mood for.

Chili over Jalapeño cornbread waffles
Tonight was a typical weeknight dinner conundrum – we wanted something really good but didn’t want to spend hours in the kitchen prepping. The solution? Chili we made and froze from last winter and jalapeño cornbread waffles.
Summer Classics – Scratch-made Tomato Pies
We ran across this recipe last week watching the Deen brothers on Southern Fried Road Trip. They stopped by a cute little restaurant where one of the most popular items was a tomato pie. Now I have to admit, when I was growing up I was not a huge tomato fan. In the south, EVERYONE always had at least one tomato plant in their garden and tomatoes were a staple for quick sandwiches in the sweltering heat. Only over the past few years have I started learning to LOVE them.
Grilled Old Fashioned
Who doesn’t love bourbon? And who doesn’t love to grill? This recipe was inspired by Damaris Phillips when she and her siblings had a grilling day. I tweaked it a little to my taste and good golly, is it delicious!!!
Vacation Inspiration: Grilled Chicken and Cajun Cream Pasta
While on vacation, went to a great restaurant right on the water. We sat and enjoyed the view, as well as the great portions of food, at Lazy Days Restaurant in Islamorada, FL!
Southwestern BBQ Totchos
Who doesn’t love BBQ? If you said “me,” we need to evaluate 1) our friendship and 2) your current life plan.
Any time we get BBQ out on the town, we inevitably have leftovers – lots and lots of leftovers. Mainly because we go beast mode like we are gearing up for a sumo match, when we really eat about 1/5th of what we order. Some of our favorites around Atlanta are Community Q in Decatur and Williamson Brothers in Marietta, btw.
This recipe is a quick way to use those leftovers and elevate it into a delicious mountain of food!
