Some like ’em hot, some like ’em sweet, some like ’em right in the middle – wings are always a crowd favorite. On game days or a pot luck, they always seem to show up on the table and are usually the first to go. Here is our quick recipe for a sweet and spicy wings without have to mix and measure and taste constantly.
Prep time – 5 minutes
Cooking time – 45 minutes
Ingredients:
1 dozen chicken wings
1 jar of jalapeno pepper jelly (we use Braswells Hot Jalapeno Pepper Jelly)
S&P to taste
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 450
Arrange chicken wings on cooking rack in a sheet pan
Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides
Cook for 20 minutes, then flip wings and cook for additional 20 minutes
Pour pepper jelly into large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds or until jelly begins to loosen
After wings have cooked for 40 minutes, remove the wings and toss in the pepper jelly, placing them back on the baking rack after a generous coating
Cook for an additional 10 minutes
Remove from oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!
