We have both been super busy the past few weeks with work, doctor’s appointments, family visiting from out of town, Valentine’s Day, a birthday bash to plan – Trey and I have barely seen each other – even more than usual. But I wanted to share this recipe from a few weeks ago.
It was Saturday night and Trey had to work late. Since Trey isn’t a big seafood person, I decided it was time to “treat yo self!”
Last night we celebrated Trey’s birthday be having a few friends and co-workers over. It ended up being about 15 people over and we had a blast! We wanted to have some sort of food that wasn’t quite appetizers but not quite dinner so people would mingle about and not have to sit with a full plate.
This one is so simple, its crazy. This is sure to impress at any occasion and with it’s quick and easy preparation; there’s no reason not to try it at your next gathering!
Whether you are having steak, chicken or even just a grilled cheese sandwich, this side dish is sure to please. With only a few ingredients and a set-it-and-forget-it preparation, there is no reason to serve boxed mashed potatoes at your next soiree!
Of all the food we have made, this is one of the most requested recipes. It’s a bit of a process to make, but it’s definitely worth it! After you make it a few times, you’ll be a pro :)
For years, we didn’t actually do a lot for each other on Valentine’s Day other that a card, maybe some chocolates. But this year was different…
